For raids with a flexible raid size such as Raid Finder , this will act as though there were 20 players in the raid.

All items on the loot table will have a chance to drop, not just the ones that are designated for your spec. If you have multiple players in the group, the loot will be split among those players, but be tradeable. Comments Comment by jjanchan This is an awesome guide, and answered a lot of my nagging questions - thank you! For example, as a DK, having completed a quest and having chosen a plate helm, would I still have the leather, cloth and mail quest reward options added to my wardrobe, or does that violate the "main armor type" rule?

Also, as Shaman, Warriors, Hunters, and other class "upgrade" armor types at level 40, would they get the initial armor types added e. Leather on a Shaman, or Mail on a Warrior? If so, will this happen only until level 40? Also at max level? Thanks again! Comment by Gigabear Loads of unnecessary restrictions. Major feedback against requiring us to be the precise armor class to unlock an item was received and apparently disregarded. This is a cosmetic only system.

It is not downing raid bosses, and should not be treated like it is. The guide also doesn't quite answer my main questions on outfits.

How many can we have, and especially, do we need to pay gold to swap to them? Or just one time to set them up? If we have to pay gold to swap xmog like on live, this whole system is pretty pointless outside of saving space. Comment by Animosa Thank you for collecting this many information on the transmoging, but I have some unanswered questions yet. Comment by shomcg I'm guessing legendary ie rogue weapons will still not be transmog items? Comment by Ketsuki Thank you for all the positive feedback.

I tried to gather a majority of questions that I saw floating around and tried to look into them best I can. Comment by mihalidis This is an awesome guide! Good work! I wish to upvote it to show my appreciation, but i can't seem to find the vote button on guides so i'm just typing it here then! Comment by Monnezza Thanks for the guide, I still have a question though: whenever I get a BoE item, is it added to the appearence collection right away, or does it have to become soulbound?

In other words, will it be possible to send an interesting BoE item to my friends to share its appearence? Comment by KnirpsLyn Removing hide cloak and hide helm from the interface sounds like a step backwards.

I often change that on-the-go as I get upgrades while leveling. Comment by CrossCynical Am I the only one wondering if pvp gear unlocks cross faction? For example, if I have the alliance warlords season 3 plate helm, does that unlock for the horde version also or do I have to buy the horde version since it's technically a separate item? I ask as a person who has highly limited bagspace and holding that many shirts is gonna suck. Comment by vm4him What about items that have been disenchanted or sold?

Will they be added to the wardrobe? They clearly said Mop challenge gear would be unlocked throughout the account, i see they running back. You must meet all requirements on that character in order to use that transmog item. This includes Reputation. Comment by Treekachu I saw that you will be updating when you have more information.

I have some questions that I would like to know the answers to, if possible. Insofar as the retroactive crediting of completed quest rewards, will this apply to quest rewards from quests that have been removed from the game and marked as obsolete e.

How far back does this feature extend? There exist quite a few shirts in-game, including as an example those that were class-specific and came equipped on your newly-made character several expansions ago.

I collect shirts and have them stored away in a guild bank. Will they change to BoE or BoP when the pre-patch hits, or will they continue to have the capacity to be worn and traded freely amongst characters? Will they be receiving the "cosmetic" tag? Will legendary item appearances be added to the wardrobe even if they cannot be applied to other items of the same type? With the upcoming changes to the PvP system, will old PvP gear be available to buy for transmogrification purposes?

If so, will the required currency become gold instead of honour or conquest points? Let's say I loot an item that is BoE that is my armour type. Does it get added to my wardrobe simply because I have acquired it in my inventory, or must I equip it first?

Essentially, must gear items that are found in the world outside of questing be equipped in order to be added to the wardrobe? Will it be able to enter the new transmog system even though it is no longer obtainable? Comment by Webminky Thank you for doing this.

Are you able to clarify; I have a ton of soul-bound gear, on multiple characters. Assume I have a mage and a lock. I have a soul-bound cloth item on mage, it is added to wardrobe. Would my warlock have access to it as well assuming it was just cloth and not mage only? In a nutshell, I farm for a pair of boots that I like, do I have to do it twice, one for each cloth wearer.

Again, thank you for the effort :. Comment by Bjerkie I'm a little confused regarding tier items. For an easy example: The Helm of Might tier 2 drops for my warrior. Can I now only use that appearance for my warriors? But if I get the heirloom look-a-like I can transmog it to all my plate-wearers? What I'm basically asking is: Does it unlock the appearance to everyone if the item already has a look-a-like in-game?

Comment by seriousandu how about this quest? It sounds like it won't get added to my wardrobe, right? I'll have to go and run it on my pally and hope that I manage to get the same drop Comment by Eilonthay Who else was disappointed that white and gray items weren't going to be included? Certainly myself. I was finally hoping that the dapper worgen top hat from their starting zone was finally going to be put to some use At least the starter robe for night elf mages has an equivalent green item.

They're already doing so much coding for everything else I would think it would just be that much more stuff that people wouldn't have to keep in their bags. As excited as I am that they're changing the transmog system so that it's basically a "spellbook" of appearances, I'm not looking forward to going back and dragging a clothie through for the Old World Loremaster.

I'm hoping having a hunter with all the expansion Loremasters, plus the Old World Loremaster, will have scooped up most of the transmog weaponry and mail Things to do between LFR and dungeons, I guess. At least the druid's been pulling her weight on the leather and quested like a fiend from day one.

Can't say the same for my plate and cloth wearing minions. Comment by Higaburger Great, so all those items I sold because I ran out of bag space or whatever the case was I will have to loot all over again Comment by atata Guys, i dont understand. What about old pvp-gear? If old honor-system will be changed, how i can get sets for tmog, t15, for exp. Comment by tale Several people seem to have questions about the soulboundness of items, so could that be added to the article proper?

The comments where it has been asked have consistently had the same answers -- that to be unlocked for transmog the original item has to not only be soulbound but also useable -- so it'd be good to have that up top in the official article. Comment by I read somewhere that we need to Achieve all of the Loremaster achievements to unlock the wardrobes for Legion Is this still true? If so This way probably all weapon types are covered, especially with the warrior.

Comment by SJPadbury Here's what I'm curious about: So we're getting given all the quest reward gear for previously completed quests, if we can equip it. Does that include the "hidden" quests that complete when we kill a Vignette mob in Warlords, that prevent up from re-obtaining the drop after the fact?

In other words, if I've obtained Smashalupagus from killing Stompalupagus , and have sold it, will it show up in my Transmog or not? Comment by africanleopard So Will that mail gear go away, or will it remain and new gear for plate wearers be put into the old quests? I am just wondering if I need to do all those quests on my mail wearers to ensure I don't lose any Comment by Treekachu What about account-bound or battle.

Will those be added to the wardrobe? Examples: Spear of Xuen , gear from archaeology? Replica Lion's Fang , items from promotions? First of all, belts, hands, and feet should be added. Complete the sets so at the very least, players can fully transmog a set so a character can look good the whole time while leveling. Increased mount speed, for instance — decreasing time spent travelling would also decrease time spent leveling. Even better, an extra teleport to quickly return to hubs to turn in quests without having to reset the Hearthstone would be a great addition — this exists in other games.

Maybe a power where once every 30 minutes, you resurrect at your corpse without having to release and run back, as that takes extra time too.

Players have spent close to a million gold already on heirlooms and are still bitter about their loss of function. Just upgrade them for free. Finally — maybe just add back in the experience boost.

Let players play what they want to play. If they want to go through the whole Shadowlands story again — as players have to go through the whole story once anyway to unlock Threads of Fate — they will.

If the experience boost only works through levels 50 to 60, that would be okay. Blizzard Watch is a safe space for all readers. By leaving comments on this site you agree to follow our commenting and community guidelines.

My bet is since I don't see any low levels clearing RFC in t12 looks it's probably a no.

Ah I found it "Transmogrifying heirloom items as source or target does not make them soulbound, but mailing a transmogrified heirloom to another character will restore the default appearance. User Info: Hoops Just as a bit of trivia, they used to allow it, but then removed it. I remember going into some low level BG at around level 15 and seeing people running around in full tier gear.

It was good fun User Info: ToadstoolPeach. I leveled a dwarf mage in priest tier 10 when they allowed transmogged heirlooms, it was kind of neat. I wish they would allow it again.
